DUES TO STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
Dear Faithful Parishioner,
This year is meaningful as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our parish. For one hundred years, faithful generations have offered their time, talent, and treasure to build and sustain our church. Because of their sacrifice and devotion, we are blessed with a strong and vibrant parish today.
At our 2024 Annual Parish Assembly, our members voted to join the Diocesan Dues-to-Stewardship Program. Since then, membership at St. Mary Armenian Church has no longer been based on a set dues payment, but on a prayerful pledge to become true stewards of God’s gifts.
The Church is not simply a building, an organization, or a business. The Church is the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22–23). Just as the human body has many members with different functions, so too our parish is made up of individuals blessed with unique gifts and talents (1 Corinthians 12:12–31). Each of us is an essential part of this sacred body. When one rejoices, we all rejoice; when one suffers, we all suffer (Romans 12:4–5). We belong to one another in Christ.
This is the heart of Stewardship.
Stewardship is not merely about financial support. It is about offering our time in service, our talent in ministry, and our treasure in generosity. It is about recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God, entrusted to us for His glory. Through stewardship, we actively participate in the life and mission of the Church — teaching our children, supporting our ministries, caring for those in need, and strengthening our Armenian Christian heritage.
As we celebrate our Centennial, we look not only to the past with gratitude, but to the future with hope. Our stewardship today strengthens the bright present of our parish and lays the foundation for another century filled with blessings, growth, and achievement.
We prayerfully ask you to complete your Stewardship Pledge Form and reflect on how you can support St. Mary in the coming year. You determine your level of giving and the ways you wish to serve. Please return your completed form by the end of the year so we may plan responsibly for the year ahead.
Thank you for your love and dedication to St. Mary Armenian Church. Together, we enter our second century united in faith and purpose.
May God bless you and your family abundantly,
Rev. Fr. Voskan Hovhannisyan, Pastor
St. Mary Armenian Church, Livingston, NJ
