Celebration in Memory of the Souls
Who Have Fallen Asleep
In accordance with the faith of the Armenian Church, the Divine Liturgy (Soorp Badarak) may be celebrated in memory of the souls who have fallen asleep in Christ.
Arrangements for Requiem Services (Hokehankeest)—including altar flowers, altar candles, and the fellowship hour—must be made through the Church Secretary or Pastor no later than Friday at noon by calling the Church Office. Please be prepared to provide the name(s) of the one(s) who have fallen asleep, along with the name(s) of those requesting the service.
The names requested for Requiem are prayerfully read during Soorp Badarak. Family members and friends of the one(s) who have fallen asleep are kindly asked to be present from the beginning of the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m., so that the memory of their loved one(s) may be honored with full spiritual reverence.
Those who wish may also donate altar flowers, candles, or food items for the fellowship coffee hour that follows the Divine Liturgy and Requiem Service. Donations may be offered in memory of the souls of their loved ones by informing the Church Secretary.
