MEMBERSHIP & STEWARDSHIP
By becoming a dues-paid member of St. Mary Armenian Church, not only will you have the privilege of having a voice and voting at the Parish Assembly, you will become an integral member, partner, architect and steward in the life and ministry of our church. Each year the Parish Assembly is typically held in the month of February. This also entitles you to be eligible to be an officer of the Church. Remember you can make a difference, and together we can preserve the Armenian faith and identity.
The annual membership fee is $210 per person ages 25 and up or $100 for adults ages 18-25 (Please check with Adi at (973)-533-9794. If you were a dues-paid member last year, the deadline for your annual dues is December 31st of this year or you will not be considered eligible to vote in the upcoming Parish Assembly as stated in the Amended By-Laws Article 6 of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern Diocese):
Every member of the Parish, 18 years of age or over, shall pay to his (or her) Church an annual due, the amount of which shall be paid in full by December 31st of the current year.
This deadline date applies to new and renewable membership, however, a new member must also have registered and paid his/her dues at least six months prior to the Parish Assembly in order to be eligible to vote. Article 7 of the By-Laws of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern Diocese) states:
Members in good standing of a Parish Church, who are 18 years of age or over, may participate in the Assemblies of the same Parish and may vote, provided that at least six months have elapsed since they have registered and paid dues at the time of registration as members of the Parish. They may be eligible for office one year after becoming members, provided they have attained the age of 21.
